Due to persistent heavy rain, a landslide occurred this afternoon, 4 January 2018, between Zweilütschinen and Lütschental. No trains were affected. The Bernese Oberland Railway service is currently suspended on the route between Zweilütschinen and Grindelwald.
The remedial work will probably last until Friday, 5 January. Rail replacement buses are in operation for the affected section with immediate effect. An announcement will be made in good time when service is resumed.
